That's the kind of excuse that just doesn't fly. A QB sees a wide open receiver, with plenty of room to spare (he was open by 5 or 6 yds btw) and he says he was "surprised and didn't expect it" I call major BS on that. There's no way on this green earth he should ever be "suprised" by a receiever being open. That's a red flag raiser and a lame excuse.
