Oy, Ross. The guy just seems like a player who at any moment before any game can be inactive and you'll just be like "Meh, figures."
People just need to give up on him, quit taking it personally, stop acting like nobody ever missed on a first round pick and just move on. If he ever does anything, it's just gravy.
