VanMeter is a freaking Swiss Army Knife.  Look at the number of games he has started at these positions in the minors

SS   94
LF   71

I'd like to see em give VanMeter a good long look to close out this season. He seems to be an above average defender, has some speed with some stolen bases. Is a decent hitter, probably not a slugger but if you get 16 HR's or so from 2nd base 60 RBI's or something that's just gravy.
