They could both be right. Ross may not have grasped the game at the NFL level while also not being used in the best way.
If you listen to the whole interview though, Ross does say if he stops thinking like he used to, he'll play better. So he's owning up that some of the problems were his own fault.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
