So...was Marvin holding Ross back?
#70
I will say this...
After the first drop or two, Marvin likely would have benched Ross. If that had happened with Taylor, Ross wouldn't have gone off like he did.

John Ross is now 52 yards and 5 TDs away from last year's total...with 15 games left to play.
If Ross only gets 40 yards per game average and a TD every 3rd game, he'll have 750+ yards and 7 TDs by the end of the year.
If he produces even half of what he did yesterday but for every game, he'll have 1300+ yards.

With that said, Ross deserves criticism for his drops yesterday, especially the wide open one. He even admitted it in an interview after the game saying he was overthinking by planning his run before catching the ball and that he needs to quit doing that.

If Ross can reduce the drops, there's a good chance he'll be electric. Even if he continues the drops, he'll still be really exciting but frustrating at times too.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
