None of them were available in round 2 when we picked, so we had no choice really.

 i like the Dalton pick and AD, but not sure we can give the team the credit when they really has no other real options other Kaep or Dalton in round 2 to start immediately (need).

QB is the most important position. They could have deemed that need  greater than a WR and taken one of the other guys if, in their estimation, he was worth it. 

In this case, they felt they could get Green in 1 and Dalton in 2. From reports i've read and things i've hear here, he was the one QB they were targeting after Newton. 

They could have easily screwed it up, bypassed Green, and taken one of the others.
