No, he wasn't. Pollack, Thurman, Rivers, Maualuga, Burfict. Despite each of their individual issues, they were all highly talented players. Marvin couldn't control things like broken necks, broken jaws, broken personalities, etc. I'm guessing that the "management" told him that he couldn't keep spending good picks on LBs, for them to get destroyed or self-destruct.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations
