Until this team understands the importance of utilizing free agency and trades to their fullest potential, I'm not optimistic about any coach coming in here and succeeding. I know a coach CAN do it (for all his weaknesses, Marvin Lewis had fielded successful units multiple times during his tenure), but the cards are heavily stacked against them. These last seven weeks have been a real eye-opener for me, and it's honestly burned me out. Call me a Chicken Little, but I do not see a light at the end of the tunnel. And with the stadium lease looming in 7 years, a part of me wonders if 2015 will be the last time we see a strong Cincinnati Bengals team. I sure as hell don't see Zac Taylor fielding one, for however long he's here. From the draft to the on-field play-calling, Taylor looks way out of his depth, and his resume doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
I liked Bienemy, but my understanding is that his role as the OC in Kansas City was basically to serve as a glorified mouthpiece for Andy Reid, so you wonder just how hands-on he is there. But in terms of experience, I'd take a coordinator over a position coach.

Everything in this post is my fault.
