Riley is showing to be a QB whisperer and you have to wonder if the Bengals FO believes this coaching staff could do the same given they have Taylor, Van Pelt, and Callahan who have all been successful QB coaches in the past.
Hurts is definitely a gamble though. But I could see the team wanting to solidify the OL and take a chance on Hurts in Rd 3-4. Then based on his growth in 2020, the team could then decide whether they want a new QB in the 2021 draft.
Hurts is shooting up the draft boards and will likely be considered the 4th best QB. I think He goes in round 2-3. He may even go in round 1. With that said, even if the Bengals take Eason, he is a slinger and probably the best pure passer next to Herbert.
If the Bengals could take Thomas-rd 1, Kindler-rd2, and Hurts-rd2b or 3. That would be great! Another OT to keep an eye on is Jackson.
They would have this for 2020:
Thomas-Kindler-Hopkins-Price/Jordan/Miller-J. Williams as OL.
Hurts can also run and gun. He fits the mold of the new NFL QB.
With that said, I still like Burrow as the best QB. I could see a team like Titans or Patriots getting Burrow and he will play at several pro-bowls i would bet.
