South Carolina history on the radio..
#1
I'm not a native to SC, but do live here in Elgin or right outside Elgin near Columbia, but there is a radio show here on SC public radio by a fellow Walter Edgar called Walter Edgar's Journal you can listen to past episodes via podcasts. I seldom listen to most podcasts, but I make exception to this one.. He covers a lot of the history of events of the past with a certain flair for setting records straight without inserting a lot of bogus political tripe. Some of the episodes are of rather mundane things, but he brings them to life to make you (or at least me) feel like it's all real, living history. So for a lot of you history buffs you might want to check out Walter Edgar's Journal on podcasts if interested. I kind of picked up on him while driving to the store and almost always end up just sitting in the parking lot to hear the rest of it..
