None of that adds up to a 2nd rounder. The Pats MIGHT offer a 3rd rounder since their picks are always late in the rounds, but you're probably looking at something like a 4th rounder.
Dalton wants to leave, and I highly doubt Mike Brown wants to pay $17.7m for a backup QB. There's not a ton of leverage.
Sam Bradford brought back a 1st and another conditional pick that could have been as high as a 2nd.
Dalton is far better than Bradford. If a team is desperate enough they’ll overpay. And a 2nd round pick is not going to kill a team like the Patriots.
