No one is saying Ohio is super “important” to him. Just thats it’s his home state, and most people like being near their family if they’re close (they are).

As to why he went to LSU, because he broke his hand at OSU and Haskins had the starter job. It’s not like LSU was his first choice either. He wanted Nebraska. How bad are they kicking themselves right now?
