A lot of these books are high school reading. I think much of the existential angst of Holden Caufield would be lost on children.
Agreed. I listed books I read from ages 7-12.
Catcher in the Rye was my favorite book...when I was 16-17.
I read at an 11th grade level in 5th grade, but that doesn't mean I would've actually understood the adult themes.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
