I see this as a principal argument for why Tua is a better prospect than Burrow.
"Tua has been elite for 2 years and a national championship in his freshman year. Burrow was only elite for 1 year."
Here's the thing...
In that "1 year," Burrow played 15 games and had 527 attempts.
In Tua's 2 years + National Championship, he played 24.5 games and had 631 attempts.
So...are we talking about 104 attempts? That's what we're calling "experience" with Tua?
And that completely ignores Burrow's last 4 games in 2018, where he had a combined line of:
81 of 121 for 1166 yards (67% completion percentage, 292 yards per game), 10 TD and 1 INT, an NCAA QBR of 173.5 (and an NFL QBR of 122.1) with 49 rushes for 156 yards and 3 TD.
So let's call it 648 attempts over 19 games for Burrow playing at a consistent, consecutive, elite level.
Makes Tua's 24.5 games and 631 attempts seem much less impressive or sustained compared to Burrow when you actually think for a few minutes.
