I think the love for Fred Johnson had more to do with disgust for our current starters than anything Johnson actually did.

Same thing happened with Redmond and especially Christian Westerman when they played a few snaps in a meaningless game at the end of the year. Fans were so desperate for ANY help for our O-line that they grasped at straws.
