Being that is was from 1918 it comes from a time where the US was openly racist w/o even trying to acknowledge that fact. So AGAIN it's AMERICA pointing fingers at other people. 

The rest refer to mountains and rivers. And there is no such thing as... Southeast Asia Respiratory Syndrome.... SARS is Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome

It's not vogue, it's eliminating prejudice. And its 2020 it is past due at this date in human evolution.

P.S. If you want to correctly speak about it... The virus is COVID-19 and the illness is SARS-CoV-2. Think of it like HIV is a virus but AIDS is the illness that stems from the infection.
