Does Joe Burrow get benched at anytime this year based on poor performance?
Define benched? Missing a start, I will say no. But I could see him having a bad game and to preserve his confidence Zach will bench him for the rest of the game, maybe the 4th quarter and just let him shake it off. Seen it happen with a lot of rookie QBs
Will Burrow have a 2:1 TD:INT ratio?
I'm going to go with no, just based off Andrew Luck, Manning, even Dalton's first year. It is not easy to come into the league and have a 2:1 ratio as a rookie. Granted it can be done, as shown by Dak and Russell Wilson, but not too often that you see a #1 overall do it, since they are going to a team that was bad enough to earn that pick.
Will Burrow have over 3500 passing yards?
3500 seems like a good target number. I think 3500 is possible.
How many games will AJ Green play?
This is the toughest question of all. I think in A.J.'s mind he will play 16 and prove he deserves a long term deal. However, his body has just let him down year after year, so I'll put this at a 12.
More receiving yards between Ross, Higgins, Tate:
By the end of the year, Higgins. Tate will be steady as she goes, Ross will have his flashes and his injury/disappearing act for weeks and Higgins I think will just get better and better each week. So the last few weeks Higgins will end up taking the lead of these 3 in yards.
Will Mixon have over 1300 rushing yards?
Derrick Henry had a monster year and got 1,540 yards last season. If Burrow is going to hit 3500 passing yards, have to guess Mixon will be around his previous two years in that upper 1100 yard range, maybe even getting into the 1200 yards. If Burrow goes over 3500 and Mixon over 1300 that is a juggernaut like offense, and I believe we will see improvement but that would be a 12 win type team, I just don't believe they make that big of a jump.
Which player will have the most TDs?
Green would be the most likely to lead this list if he plays in 12 or more games.
TE with most catches?
C.J. Uzomah. Sample may be improved but until I see more from him then just a good blocker, got to give this nod to the guy who has shown he can make some nice catches.
Highest rated olineman according to PFF?
Trey Hopkins. Jonah will be rated well but he is still getting his first snaps in the NFL and returning from injury. Hopkins just keeps quietly getting better and doing his job. I think this will be a really good year for him.
Which duo gets more sacks: Old (Dunlap/Atkins) or New (Hubbard/Reeder)?
I really hope the addition of Reeder sparks Geno and gets him more chances, so I'll go with Dunlap and Geno but this will be close.
More snaps at LB between Bynes, Davis-Gathers?
Bynes, early on it won't probably be close, but as the season progresses Davis-Gathers will get up to speed and start to force his way onto the field. I think the coaches like Bynes leadership and veteran presence with a young group so he will get a lot of snaps.
Duo with more INTs: Old (WJIII/ Bates) New (Waynes/Bell)
Give me the old in WJIII and Bates. I think Bates will really take a huge step forward this season, plus Waynes is hurt and may miss a few games, so that gives the old guard another push.
Team Leader in PR yards?
Phillips. Unless he plays himself into a starting CB role, if that happens, I'll go with Brandon Wilson. Both guys are explosive with the ball in their hands.
Is Randy Bullock our kicker in week 16?
Probably.... the garbage pile of free agent kickers always seems bad. Unless they can get the kid from Louisville back Jonathan Brown. He had potential and I think after signing a 2 year deal with the Niners he was let go.
DROY:
Are we talking NFL or Bengals only? Bengals - Logan Wilson NFL - Chase Young.
OROY:
Bengals - would have to be Burrow. NFL - I'll go with Jefferson having a great year replacing Diggs in Minn.
Breakout/Comeback Player:
Comeback will probably be Gronk. Back with his buddy Brady and in a warmer climate, he might have a huge year again. Breakout player, I think Bates will make a huge stride and turn some heads. If he can play a true CF type safety might look a little like the Ed Reed highlights back in the day just ball-hawking.
Team MVP:
Mixon.
Poll question: Do we go 8-8 or better:
I have us at 7-9.
