I don't think you can keep 8 wideouts on a 53. 7 is pushing it but doable (as we've seen in the past). I wouldn't choose Scotty over some of the other options and special team contributors (Morgan) if 8 is the number.
It will bump to 55 each week when two PS players can be added. Then they have to go back to PS and team cuts to 53 again. This has to happen by Thursday each week, not sure how it affects teams playing on Thursday.
As to the 53 projection:
Morgan would make it over Washington simply for special teams.
I think only 8 o-line, but probably a spot that gets one of the PS guys when going to 55.
I think 6 LB and 6 CB, most of the special team spots will be filled with guys from the WR, LB and DB groups.
