Now with a salary cap their is equal talent all across the league. so for Zac to have that record is unacceptable he took over a 6-10 team. He wont reach that good of a record in his entire time here.
Very good point.
Landry's first year was Dallas' first season. They had to start from nothing because they were an expansion team.
Noll inherited a 2-11-1 team.
Parcells inherited a 4-win team (shortened season) and then ended up with 0.5 less wins in his first season.
None of them inherited a team and then ended with 4 fewer wins their first season.
Could Taylor be the next Parcells? Possibly, but it'd be very rare.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
