If I had to distinguish between Luck and Andy it would be that Luck started out hot and has if anything regressed. Lest we forget his turnover proclivities go back before this season. Andy started out more workmanlike and despite a hiccup last season mostly due to the cavalcade of injuries on offense he has improved each season.
As to whether Ponder or Locker or any of the others would have worked for us I tend to think not. We went for the QB who the scouts said was the most NFL ready coming out of college and it paid off. It has also helped that he has a drive to win, and we have benefitted off the field as well as both Andy and his wife have been great ambassadors for the city despite neither one being native to Ohio
