If you had been at a company for years being one of the top workers and some new guy comes in (who was already let go by the company, did nothing after leaving, and then was let go by the last company he was at) and he takes your job you wouldn't be pissed?
I'm not blaming him for being pissed. I totally get it. I think most people are more upset over the way he's handling things. I suppose this is the way business is handled now, though, so who knows. The disconnect between everyone in the organization is glaring and obvious at this point. We've somehow got no synergy top to bottom even though we have less people in the league that have to be connected. It's so ugly, but I don't even know how to fix this. Does a good coach do it? It just feels like we're in quick sand.
This is definitely not the time to dig in your heels if you're the organization. If the guy is asking for a trade, move him. If you can't find a trade, release him. Keeping him here isn't going to be a benefit to anyone and I don't think him being elevated on the depth chart will help. Move any pieces that have trade value. Bring in a new coach in the offseason and clean house for the staff. Hit re-start with a Burrow-led Bengals team.
