I don't know. Just sit back for a minute, let your negative emotions and the losing record go for just a bit and let me know how you feel about where this thing is going.
Take a few minutes and get back to me.
Negative emotions? Well, I don't have any of those. What I have is empirical evidence: 3-19-1. This is winning approximately 15% of the time which is horrible. There is too much talent on this team to have such a bad record. Okay, I can maybe understand going 2-14 in a head coach's first season but to regress in the second season is indicative the Front Office made a bad hire. Marvin Lewis, after all, went 8-8 in his first season as head coach after a 2-14 record the previous year.
Unlike 2003 I do not see improvement in 2020. Tackles are still being whiffed, blocks are still being missed, and the "football basics" just aren't there. Even worse, the Bengals are not playing with energy or urgency. That was the difference in 2003; Marvin brought a new energy to the team. It didn't last as we all know but it was there. Zac Taylor is very cerebral and such but I don't see the energy.
Pull the plug. Eject. Bail out. Cut bait.
