Phil Sims alluded to this in the postgame. Hits wear a qb down regardless of whether or not they get the ball out. Yeah, it's nice not to take a sit ton of sacks, but at some point you have to keep defenses from beating the hell out of your quarterback. They've rarely been able to do that this year.
