The overwhelming majority of owners are in place, without holding front office positions related in any way to personel decisions. They hire people to do that for them.
When someone says "they need to go" they don't mean they need to pack their bags and leave town, they mean "they need to get the hell out of the way and let someone run this team that knows what they're doing".
