Why does ZT continue to start players that dont produce?
#7
The Bengals have very bad depth, they used mid-round picks at LB along with a career rotational guy in Bynes, and they gambled their OL on the progress of last year's starters plus the addition of XSF.

Part of the reason they are so bad is because of all the injuries to their starters:
Burrow
Waynes
Reader
XSF
Uzomah
Mixon

All of the above guys are better than the starters that were out there.

They traded their 1st/2nd best DE in Dunlap.

The relied so much on their players staying healthy, and they can't bring in or groom quality depth for s**t.
So the result is what you see out there today.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
