They have the ammunition to move back into the top 10 for a QB and if they trade Darnold for the going rate of a 2nd + 5th then they would have even more ammunition to make a deal. 
Would the Jets rather have a Wilson + late first pick or a Sewell + a QB? I would go with option 2 personally.
