The defense has a ways to go, but I am optimistic that returning injured guys, maybe a FA, and a solid draft will put them at least close to mid-pack.
Combine a mid-pack defense with a lethal offense and you have the Cincinnati version of the Packers. I would take that.
Hope you can find some positives to look forward to...It is so much more fun than dwelling on the negatives.
If they actually do what they say, and shore up the offensive line in FA, and draft a WR like Chase, an Edge Rusher, this team could be scary good. Burrow will be in his 2nd year, with actually some time to throw. Plus, a better Oline means the RB's should be able to eat on the ground. If we get Reader and Waynes back the defense will be much better than the defense with Bledsoe and Sims.
