There was no free agency back then but I am pretty sure that 2 members of the W.E.B.B. were draft picks we got from the Bill Bergey trade.
He was also good at finding players from small or more obscure colleges. I did a thread about it once, but some obvious example are Ken Anderson from Augustana College and 12th round pick Bob Trumpy from Utah.
