It didn't take long for some analytic guys to say kicking the FG gave them a 3% better chance of winning. They don't take into consideration the game flow or players involved. No way you can convince me that stopping Brady from getting a first down and then going the length of the field for a TD is more likely than Rodgers converting 4th and goal from the 8 and getting the two point conversion.
I even saw Rodgers quoted as saying that he would've scrambled on 3rd down and got them closer if he knew they'd kick on 4th and goal. That's a big wow for me. Glad he was honest, part of why I like Rodgers. Have to wonder how much longer he'll be in Green Bay.
