That part about the agent's conversation was told to me by a family member in virtually the exact same manner two different times since Joe was drafted. They 100% would have there and would have had conversations with the agent.
I was wondering about that too because we typically always spend up to the salary cap and it's not like we're spending it all on rookies, especially since the rookie salary cap.
