No disagreement. I believe the core of this defense right now and the near future should be Lawson, Hubbard, Reader, Logan Wilson, Pratt, and and Jessie Bates. I believe an up and comer to that core will be Marcus Bailey. So with that in mind adding key defensive pieces to it such as Marlon, Collins, and Griffin is ideal.
People are reading much from a defense that never saw the defense assembled in the off-season on the field. Not one time did that defense see the field so I believe we have some panic that is not rooted in fact. I may be in a minority but I personally am excited about seeing what Lou puts on the field and that he is not committed to a 4-3 or a 3-4 but rather a hybrid that is capable of changing depending on situation and opponent.
