Unless you were merely stating your preference then I stand corrected. I disagree but you're entitled to your preference.
I'll bet they all either had a lighter colored number or the number was outlined in white.
For example, if the Saints had a black color rush jersey then the number would be gold which has a lot more contrast than orange on black.
**EDIT** Upon further review it looks like the Niners did have black jerseys with just red letters/numbers. So it has been done.
