Foster scares the crap out of me. Head/Neck/Shoulder injuries on a high motor player combined with Marvin's belief that concussions are just headaches isn't a good combo. Neither is having surgery right before the draft.

I'll be surprised is Elfien lasts till the third.

Would not take foster in the first.

Naz is one of my favorite mid round DL prospects. I think we could let Peko walk and skip drafting DT and we would be alright. But he is one i would love to draft

I'd like to know your reasoning on that but I respect your opinion. We just disagree.
To be honest my favorite player in the draft is Corey Davis and he just "fits" like a glove in our offense currently. We also need to wrap our heads around the fact that we may see a cornerback at #9. In this mock I was going to go Lattimore. I would be angry w/ a corner but not shocked. Dark horse: Malik McDowell

I believe that he may be one of the best kept secrets in the entire draft. I wouldn't be suprised by the team bringing him in for a visit to PBS this spring. Also be on the lookout for Jarron Jones out of Notre Dame as a DT diamond.

We should place Chris Wormley in this same category.

They'll have to put ML in the Mikey closet if Foster is there.

I homestly would not hate to go lattimore. I see him as a champ bailey corner. Maybe even better. As far as foster, as others have said as well, he relies on his athletic ability to cover up his insanely slow read/react time and is also very average in reading a play. Low play recognition. Watch the voch lombardi breakdown on him.

A move like that could upset the fan base but when you drill down and look its not a bad choice especially if you unload Mcarron and grab more picks.(Potential Lattimore pick)
I can't debate you on Foster because as a fan I want our defense to be athletic and scary. That starts with the backers in my opinion.

We had two highly rated players in last years draft that we took and didn't play a snap. So you get three first rounders this year

I also don't get the love for Foster.  He has only 7 sacks, no picks, no forced fumbles, and no fumble recoveries in his college career.  Stats aren't everything, but if I'm taking a LB for a 4-3 team in the top 10, he needs to have made more big plays than that.  He has questionable instincts and very much looks like a guy that slid by on his great athletic ability and the Alabama DL keeping blockers off him.  Because of his instincts, I don't see him being one of the guys they leave on the field in nickel, especially since he's going to miss rookie camp and minicamps with his injury, so he's probably going to play less than half the snaps.

Yeah and i cant wait to see wjiii and billings. Billings in particular. My problwm with foster isnt necessarily with foster although i dont think hes worth a 9 pick. If we draft foster, then imo we wasted a pick. We play mainly a 4-2-5 now as does the rest of the nfl. I prefer burfict and vigil in coverage over foster. When we do play 3, rey can do that. In limited snaps per game hes good. But if we draft another lb we either wasted a 9 pick or we wasted a third round pick. To use a 9 pick or a third round pick on a player who will play 20 snaps a game is a waste. Thats my problem. Its also why the more and more i look at it i think the bengals go one of three options. Wr, cb, de. I think de is less of a oppurtunity than the others though. Its either wr or corner, or try to trade back.
