Yep. David Carr looked awesome in college. He could make all the throws.

Then he got drafted by the Texans and got sacked an insane amount of time and it ruined him. He watched the pass rush more than he looked for receivers to come open.

Put him on a team like the Bengals 3 years ago with AJ Green and an offensive line that gave up under 25 sacks a year...and he's probably a Top 5-7 QB in the NFL.

Of course our guy  also did little under center in college also, not sure about Carr

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.
