I liked typing that. It's like a Bye Week. We have a Bengals Game coming very soon.
We won't see much of the sure starters in this one, some 1st Quarter action....AJ McCarron will see playing time and then whoever the QB's trying to make the reserve practice squad team. ..Other than AJ and Eifert , all the WR's need playing time and we have some RB's to all get playing time. A good night to look at Defensive Depth. We have some CB's that need playing time....A good night to look at all the kickers in changing from Nugent.....A look at who tries to make the team on Special Teams....and of course, THE OFFENSIVE LINE. This unit with no experience together needs the 1st quarter and maybe more, then a look at all so we don't cut the wrong one. Somebody later in game may look good enough to move up in rank. The O Line is well worth watching up to the end of the game. Peerman and some of these other runners in the game long after the top 3.
TAMPA BAY....That's a good hard game to start. I'm sure they have good depth fighting for jobs in NFL as well.... So, we have a Bye Week of first week of Practice and then it's Tampa Bay Week. FOOTBALL IS BACK.....ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL ???.....Dalton and Green won't be on more than a series or two....but a good night to get reps and game film on everybody on this team so they don't cut the wrong players. This team was not that hot last year, and everybody including undrafted free agents should have a chance in this game, just in case there is a hidden gem in the late round picks or college free agents.
