Your Roster Guess.

As for Jackson and Jones I totally agree. But I contradicted myself by assuming Jones is the starter after hanging onto him through his off the field BS.

Tupou is just a big run stuffing machine who I'm sure will be on the PS, just wishful thinking on my part.

Carson, I love this kid. I know once Peerman was out our ST played pretty bad so maybe you guys are right about him staying. I just like what Carson has to offer if Bernard is not the same.

Lol it was late when I posted this but your right, there are only 52. So if you guys had to go with this roster, who would you fill that last spot with?

I've been hearing K. Russel, I'm not too familiar with him. Brown may stay loyal to Johnson. It's tough, is Winston better than the young guys, is Flowers worth a spot just for ST, do you keep another big body like Sims or just drop Johnson in the depth chart. Or keep a 3rd QB.

Who would you guys use for that final spot on this roster.

If it were me, MJ would walk and I would keep Russell.  If one more guy had to go, I would part with Clarke because I think Hardison has more upside and versatility.

I love Erickson he seems like the type of player the Patriots always have on their team. Plus no way you risk Ross or Mixon returning kicks.

Think they keep sims at DT if they cut him they would have 3 DT's in Billings, Glasglow and Tupou with zero game experience.

Think MJ stays because it's not typically a cut the Bengsks make.

I know the depth chart doesn't mean anything right now but they do have Mixon on returns. I hope they don't use him or Ross either.

Good points about the tackles. We haven't seen much out of the young guys but at what point is it worth keeping a player just because he has game experience if he's not performing.

I like Erickson but maybe we can work out a trade to NE for a OL. If not I hope we keep 7 WR's. He would probably be a beast in NE but it's going to be tough enough watching Burkhead tear it up. Maybe they already have they answer in him.

I know keeping Johnson is would be typical but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he gets cut.

The best ability is availability. Clarke has had it; Hardison has not.

And Hardison hasn't taken a snap at End since his first preseason. He isn't really getting alot of snaps at all this preseason. Now Clarke has played both end spots and DT.

Your guess is as good as mine TKUHL, but i think ole Key Russell makes it at DB.

Maybe Dielman will go to the PS.

I'll have to watch the other games again. Did Russell look good. I see he was a 3rd RD pick for KC last year but thats all I know about the guy.

I haven't really watched him much so far, watched the ugly Chiefs game and didn't see him get beat.

Russell is very talented, there is a reason the Chiefs took him in the 3rd. He just got injured.

Pretty crazy last year, Russell had one snap and got an interception on Mallett lol

BTW, if you are anyone else could put a link here to re-watch games it would be muchly appreciated and mega reps would be handed out.

Also, does anyone know what type of injury Brandon Wilson has and how long he's expected to be out. I was hoping to see this kid do some returns and play some DB. People say he's a poor mans Peppers. Hope he sticks around. I think he was the hopeful replacement for Peerman on ST's.

Knee injury, non football related.

Have no idea how long he will be out.

Agreed on Wilson, i think he could be our next big time ST's stud after Peerman is gone.

Great returner and great defensive ST's gunner at Houston. Likes to tackle and strip the ball in the right situations.

Was really wanting to see this guy.

Well this is my guess at what the team will do, which is different from what I would do.

QB - Dalton, McCarron, Driskell (I'd try to PS Driskell)

RB - Hill, Mixon, Bernard, Peerman (I'd go to 3 here and keep a "4th" RB on PS)

WR - Green, LaFell, Boyd, Ross, Erickson, Core, Malone

TE - Eifert, Kroft, Hewitt (There's a rumor Uzomah is going to IR or he'd make it)

LT - Ogbuehi, Fisher (Oh boy, I would have already added a vet, I'd be looking for a trade now) )
LG - Boling, Johnson
C - Bodine, Johnson
RG - Hopkins, Westerman
RT - Fisher, Smith (Dielman, Redmond, Lechler to PS)

DE - Dunlap, Johnson, Clarke, Willis, Smith (I'd cut Johnson and move Lawson to DE full time)
DT - Atkins, Billings, Sims, Glasgow (Try to get Hardison, Williams and Topou on PS)

LB - Burfict, Vigil, Minter, Rey, Lawson, Evans (Nickerson or Bell to PS. I'd keep Flowers with Lawson at DE)

CB - Kirkpatrick, Jones, Dennard, Jackson, Shaw, Russell
S - Iloka, Williams, Fejedelem, Smith (PUP for Wilson, Cox to PS)

K - Elliot
P - Huber
LS - Harris (Fffff, I wish somebody that actually played a position could do this. What a wasted roster spot.)

PS - Carson, Dielman, Redmond, Lechler, Hardison, Williams, Topou, Bell, Nickerson, Cox)

Who was our LS before Harris, isn't that all the last guy did too?

After Saint Louis  harrs is going nowhere he's been outstanding I think of your reflect back you realize that the Long Snapper can be a decider in a few games a year no way I'm letting him gor

Russell was making plays all over the place during the TB game, but I haven't had time to watch the KC game yet and from everything I've read I'm not sure I want to..
I have a hunch he sticks..

Oh I wouldn't get rid of him either. Its one of those positions/players you never hear anything about cause they don't screw up. I think we have been very fortunate over the years with these guys.

What are the odds we keep both kickers? One for KO the other for FG's. Some teams do it. That would be a shocker.

So many people ready to cut MJ blows my mind. I will be speechless and my mind will be blown if he gets cut. We have some nice rookie DEs but they won't be starting. At least not Day one. MJ will be day one starter. The rookies will get good playing time through the rotation but MJ and Dunlap are the starters.

Good point, but say Hardison shows more in this preseason game.  A lot more.  Combined with his versatility (they have seemingly given up on Clarke going inside), do you still want Clarke?  Especially if they keep MJ....he is essentially the same player.
