We have a de facto GM that hasn't won a single playoff game in 26+ years

And fans go into every season expecting a Super Bowl run.

Draft picks are usually the reason for optimism. Well EVERY TEAM has draft picks coming in that they are excited about.

Do you really think that our small scouting department and said front office that hasn't won a playoff game in 26+ years is going to outdraft the rest of the NFL to the point that we don't need to bring in 2-3 free agent starters occasionally.

1992 is when modern free agency started in the NFL. WE HAVEN'T WON A SINGLE PLAYOFF GAME SINCE MODERN FREE AGENCY STARTED. There is a direct correlation.

We blame the coach...the coaches...yet the GM is who is responsible for keeping a coach that is 0-7 in the playoffs.

We'll likely change coaches soon AFTER the roster has declined leading to a new coach having to do a major rebuild.
