Anyone ever done the "Newport Gangster Tour"?

Before there was Las Vegas... there was Newport, Kentucky. Explore the streets where the mob made their millions, gamblers lost their lives, and ladies of the night earned their reputations. Join the gangster guides for a raucous, high energy presentation inside an old casino to explain the historic significance of Newport, and discover how this little town gave birth to the modern day gaming industry.

Anyone ever taken this tour? My dad has told me stories about how Newport was a "wide open" town back in the day. He said that even the grocery stores had slot machines. And apparently it was not just a small-time local reputation. People all over the country had heard about gambling and wild times in Newport.

Sounds like a very interesting tour. To me it would be more fun than just checking out another Aquarium or some trendy place to eat.

Haven't taken the tour but have heard many of the stories. There are also a couple books out there. Chicago mafia dubbed Newport "Little Mexico."
JOHN ROBERTS: From time to time in the years to come, I hope you will be treated unfairly so that you will come to know the value of justice... I wish you bad luck, again, from time to time so that you will be conscious of the role of chance in life and understand that your success is not completely deserved and that the failure of others is not completely deserved either.

Always mean to. Never do.
