Yes, our OL is that bad - It's not your imagination

I merely pointed out we cut our most recent ex-center in response to a post stating we never do so.

Bengals took a shot. Cut an underperforming vet to sign a high draft choice rookie.

They gave Cook 5 years. Bodine is in his 4th.

Guess it's gonna be time to get hyped up for the 2019 draft.

You won't see them spend a lot though with Dunlap, Atkins, Dennard set to be free agents after the following season. They'll keep a reserve to keep those guys.

Man, the clock is ticking on those two, isn't it?  And Andy and AJ too.

Yeah a lot of people think we've built some type of dynasty that will be good perpetually...but Green and Atkins are pushing 30. AJ Green's game is based on athleticism a lot more than some other WR's. He may only have 2-3 more elite seasons left in him.

Exactly. The writing was on the wall this last off season, and they did nothing. No reason to think they will next either.
This post brought to you by the Cincinnati Bengals. Proud leaders in squandering opportunity, since 1969.

Yes...beating the Browns and Bills infused the forum with optimism...but our offensive line is totally horrible. Even Andre Smith has been bad when he plays...and the Bengals did let their 2 best lineman go from last year while not replacing them in free agency.

With Whitworth and Zeitler, we'd have 3 Average to Above Average lineman. Center would be a weakness as would one Guard spot which would make our offense much better.
