Wonder what the cost would be if it ever did go into production for consumers.

To use maglev technology that would make this sort of hoverboard work, you need a magnetic metal track. Normal concrete pavements won’t do.

That I don't know, but i imagine it would be fairly reasonable die to limits on where you could use it initially.
