Alot of talent new talent for new coach to work with
#1
We have enough talent on this team we do not need rebuild we just need a new competent head coach. If Belichek was coach of this team we would be competing for a superbowl. Even the line has improved to mediocre. New coach provided he isn't a total idiot could have this team winning a playoff game next year.

We need to clean house with the coaching staff no doubt.

I just don't know that we have Super Bowl level talent. I saw a lot of dropped passes, poor tackling, and just plain mental errors out there.

Hiring a no-nonsense head coach and giving him complete control over his staff would be a great start.

It won't happen, of course.
Everything in this post is my fault.

One has to wonder IF Coughlin was hired over Marvin where we'd be now.

Green Atkins, Lawson, Burfict, Dunlap Could start anywhere. Jackson, Dennard Dalton Mixon Croft would be nice complementary pieces for quite a few playoff teams. This team has the talent lacks coaches. The proof is in most of the 2nd half collapses. That's not players it is coaching.

New coach would need to acknowledge the glaring weakness on the OL and lobby as hard as possible for Mike Brown to focus on improving that in the offseason.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Would a Tomlin coached team allow our RB to stay in bounds and walk by two players for a long TD pass?

Without regard to deciding game impacts of biased officials, Steeler front office embarrassingly better than our front office. They re-sign their key free agents and draft way better than Bengals. They have scouts and an indoor practice facility.

Tomlin light years better coach than Marvin.

Tomlin's team does not flinch and he makes half time adjustments. Steelers regularly play better in second half than first. Ever since Marvin has been here, we tank second half in big games with one or two exceptions over 15 years.

Steelers staff light years better than Bengals staff. By the way- Steelers fire assistant coaches when they are not performing. It is not the equivalent of a tenured position like assistants on Bengals staff.

Truly, how can anyone dispute these conclusions.

As long as Mike Brown is the GM, no coach will truly have the freedom to change the mentality of this team.  Winning is an attitude that starts at the very top of an organization, and resonates throughout everyone associated with it.

The way Gruden sounded last night, we should hire him. With Jay likely getting fired, bring him back in some role too and obviously keep Lazor on as the OC.

Completely agree, we clean house with the coaches and it will be refreshing to the players on top of it.

Seriously, the script was played out once again last night with Marv. Knew it was going to be closer than lots on here,
but we are the worst 2nd half coached team in all of football. With new coaches this could be a great team on down
the road. Love some of these young players.

BTW, how are Mixon and Burfict? They got hurt correct?
