Book smart and common sense are often two different things.  Have you ever heard the term "educated fool"?

I actually know several lawyers....a few in family, and some friends.....most of them are very smart people, all of them are book smart, but I've known a couple that couldn't screw in a lightbulb without instructions.

Let's not kid ourselves because the criticism is pretty much nation-wide, but the local criticism would have more of an impact, which seems to be the case because it's coming from her community and the communities in the area.

They don't want to deal with all the GM duties when they can pay someone to do it better and bring in more money.

Katie's takeaway from her Dad's reign is that she can fill every FO position with an idiot relative, pay herself as GM, and still make untold millions thanks to the NFL's idiot-proof revenue sharing.  Oh, and if we don't like, then she just pulls up stakes and opens the big top elsewhere.  She's heard the public rag on her old fool of a father for years, so I'm guessing she'd love to screw us over.  In a hearbeat, matter of fact.

Every woman boss I've ever seen, and yes, in this area, I am a true chauvinist, has to put her own stamp on the operation the second she takes over.  It's just what they do.  She's been sitting there for years, cataloging in her mind all the ways she would be smarter, all the things she would do better.

On the other hand, there is her upbringing.  No one can tell me she won't be a money grubber like her old man.  Silver spoon and all that.

All in all, it would be an epic nature vs. nurture internal struggle for her and I'm betting cash money tips the scales and she operates a lot like Dad.  She will change some things but she won't fork out a lot more dough to do it.  I say 2 out of 10 kind of change and I have confidence level of 8 on that and confidence level of 3 on her being any better than Pops.

now here this,if she thought enough about this team and has seen how awlful it has been all these years,why hasn't she stepped up and made a difference? she is just like the whole family and will be hard to deal with and make stupid decisions and all that.nothing will change,her input will be just as dumb as the whole family. In the nfl you have to spend a ton of money to be a top team and also have top coaching,we will have neither.The jags spent a ton on free agency and it paid off.can you see the bengals doing that.this team is lacking in a ton of positions.Drafting top players will not cut it as marvin will not play them.Ask your self this,how come all the guys they draft are hurt all the time or from the get-go??its crazy really
