What I Expect the FO to do on Draft Day

Just how I see the upcoming draft playing out for us. 





1st Rd- Baker Mayfield- QB Oklahoma
2nd Rd- Desmond Harrison OT West Georgia
3rd Rd- Nick Nelson CB Wisconsin
3rd Rd- Will Clap- OG/C LSU
4th Rd- Dalton Schultz- TE Stanford
5th Rd- Anthony Miller- WR Memphis
5th Rd- Derrick Nnadi- DT FSU
5th Rd- Josh Adams- RB ND
7th Rd- Allen Lazard- WR ISU                                                                                                                            (wink)
7th- BPA
7th- BPA

I have no rationale for the pick.

I for one would not be happy with a QB taken in the first round.

Dalton is here for a couple more years at least and can target his replacement after filling needs.

Would not get it if no LBers were selected while drafting two WR's either.

They have been smart this offseason and hope they draft smarter than that as well.

If Mayfield or any 1st round QB were the target would want to trade Dalton for a high draft pick right now.

Like several other QB's over him and think Mayfield is a gamble with high ceiling but a basement of a floor too.

Want a surer pick in first and not one for the future.

In the second round possibly and if one of top 6 QB's is still there in 3rd absolutely.

But we have needs that need filled now.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too high.  According to Jim O., he says don't look for a LB pick until likely the 4th or 5th round.
