Quote:(FOX NEWS) - Japanese authorities arrested a man Saturday after another person died when he allegedly shot compressed air into their rectum as a prank.
Yoshiyuki Yoshida, 34, was arrested for the accidental killing of Akio Ishimaru, 46, according to Ibaraki Prefecture Ryugasaki police.
The incident took place at an Ibaraki Tsukuba City manufacturing plant on July 13, according to the Asia Times. The two were apparently fooling around on their break when Yoshida took the air compressor and injected a blast of air in between Ishimaru’s buttocks, the news site reported.

This is nothing new. I remember studying a case about this when I was in grad school 30 years ago.

Apparently the two were "fooling around" according to the report.
So that explains why one had his rectum exposed...... I guess.

Every company I worked for cautioned against being playful with compressed air since it contains oil and other impurities which may lead to blindness, skin infections or worse.

More than a few times whilst working around compressed air lines I've had hoses break and had them dangerously flop around the floor until someone could shut off the air supply. I saw a coworker get smacked in the eye with one . He looked like he'd been pretty beat up the next day.. They'll scare the bejesus out of you if you're not paying attention ..

It only takes 5 PSI to rupture intestines. Air hoses are at least 10 times that strong often even stronger. Car tires general have 30 to 45 PSI.

Have passed gas with rips that seems to at least been 5 PSI or better.

No. Death by compressed air doesn't surprise me. That can be powerful stuff, as many on here testify.
It's the "shoved up his anus" part that gets me. HTF was his anus exposed? Is this some sort of Japanese custom we haven't heard of before?

The news I read on this said it wasn't shoved up his anus as in pants down and shoved in there sort of thing. It said it was pushed against his anus over clothing and not directly into the cavity.
Edit: Link to the article I read.
