Lorenzen grew up a few miles from me. My brother played him in basketball and in pee-wee football growing up. I had to try to play safety against him throwing balls 65 yards down the field when he was a senior in high school and I was a freshman. I also played sports against his little brother in grade school.
He went on to play at UK and then won a Super Bowl with the Giants as their backup QB. We still talk and whatever whenever we see each other. We're Facebook friends. Whatever.
He played for the NKY River Monsters indoor football team but just completely let himself go and got up over 500 lbs!
ESPN E:60 did a segment on him that aired this morning and can be seen here.
The gym where he works out is across the street from where I grew up and you can almost see the cemetery where we wrecked in a few clips.
It's worth a watch!
