Practice Squad Predictions
#1
I know we might sign some new guys, but here's what I've got as of now:

DT Chris Okoye,
LB Brandon Bell,
DT Andrew Brown,
K Jonathan Brown,
RB Brian Hill,
LB Junior Joseph,
OL Kent Perkins,
WR Kermit Whitfield,
QB Logan Woodside,
LB Chris Worley
Today I'm TEAM SEWELL. Tomorrow TEAM PITTS. Maybe TEAM CHASE. I can't decide, and glad I don't have to.

Don't forget Boehammer...

Unless of course someone signs him before he clears waivers, possible, but highly unlikely.

Pretty sound.

I think it'll be:

Bell
Andrew Brown
Hill
Kermit
Woodside
Worley
Lundblade
Beverette
Goodwin (sadly)

And I don't a have a 10th, but Boeringher will be there too.

Me thinks Goodwin out of options for ps though I might be wrong .

You don't see a DB of any kind on the squad?

I am going with:

DT Okoye,
LB Bell,
DT Andrew Brown,
RB Brian Hill,
LB Junior Joseph,
DB Russell,
QB Logan Woodside,
LB Chris Worley,
G Asiata from waivers,
OL someone from waivers,
TE German guy

I think someone other than Perkins will be there and I think the team should sign Dan Bailey as their kicker (release Bullock).
I still cannot believe Russell is not on the 53 roster.
The team needs to add another safety from somewhere.

All of our cuts made it through waivers except for Justin Murray who was claimed by the Raiders. The team claimed no one.

still one position open. No Woodside, so we may still add a QB

Paxton Lynch didn't survive day 2 of cuts so he's out there and PS eligible

Goodwin surprised me, and I didn't know Russell was eligible.  Sad

Flowers over Hill? WTF???

C Brad Lundblade?

No Jr. Joseph? I thought he played well. Same with Okoye.

Oh well, what do I know? Glad we kept Worley.

I'm disappointed about Hill too.  But I do have to say that Flowers has some kind of feet on him.  I see him having a future as a RB in the league.  And he's not just quickness because he has some power to him too.

Morrison says that Hill turned down the PS offer to head back to Atlanta

Seems like there's not much benefit from keeping a kicker on the PS.   I doubt that they do so many special teams drills that an extra kicker adds much benefit vs an offensive or defensive guy that can be actually learning your system in case they're needed.  You're just developing a kicker that someone else can pluck from your PS if they need one.

The best thing is probably just to give him some guidance on someone he can work with on where he needs to develop and hope to sign him back in the off season.

Yup. Hill choosing to turn down the offer and go to another team where his path to the 53 will be clearer. Can't say I blame him. Smart move for his career. Wish him luck.

I suppose it depends on who our PS plays next.
