Excellent read IMO.  I've read it about 3-4 times, he doesn't really hold any punches, and really goes into depth about his and their drug use.  But more than that, you really get an inside look/perspective to the creative process with him and the tightness of him, Flea, Hillel, Chad, and John.  I just thought it was really interesting and wow they've done some crazy shit LOL

I'll warn you though, he does have some looney view points and I'm a lefty. Shocked

I can handle my musicians having weird views.   I just want to hear their music.  I don't need them writing policy lol

Lol...I do love their music, but even I was like WTF?  I do get it on a certain level, just weird.  Hey he did get to meet the Dali Lama!

Always reminds me of the Bill Murray bit about the Dali Lama in the movie Caddy Shack. Cool

Fishbone was incredible.

The first time I saw Bruno Mars live was the halftime show of the Super Bowl.  The friend I was with said that Bruno's band reminded him of "Fishbone with a bath".

How about some Clinton and some P-Funk!

Bets live shows ever.  Once they started playing it was like non-stop music for 4 hours.  Different band members would come and go off the stage but the beat never stopped.  And the crowd was like a circus.  People would dress up in costume like the band members and the girls in the dance pit would turn into superfreaks.

I saw them on Halloween in Denver in 1994.  I was in front of the stage dancing with this girl in a see through lace top when she jammed her hand down my pants and grabbed my junk.  I knew I was going to score with her, but in a few minutes one of the members of the band on the stage leaned down and started making out with her.  Shortly thereafter she was escorted back stage.

I have seen P-funk several times plus Bootsy's New Rubber Band, and Maceo Parker & Fred Wesley's funky horn band.

I love me some of the uncut funk.

That's funny,  Because of marlons comments on Nirvana, I've been listening  a lot to Nirvana.

I'm going to see if they have it at my local library.

I've been listening to a lot of RHCP lately, maybe because of this thread.

I love the performance by Nirvana playing Smells like teen spirit with Flea playing trumpet on it. Epic!
