When I watch a Bengals game, I am_________ to be around. And if you have evolved during your life sentence as a WHO DEY, feel free to describe the before and after.
For me, the before is...I was an absolute #@$%##@@#$%%##&&^%, given to throwing tantrums which led to throwing things. Put it this way, nobody invited me over to watch the game. Took years to live that down.
The after is...I'm pretty boring. Basically sit in silence. Way too numbed or beaten down or whatever you wanna call it to get over emotional any more. Wonder how many strokes the Bengals have caused over the years. And I do not celebrate until it is over.
Anyway, fill in the blank.

"fascinating"
I spend most of the time speaking in tongues and masturbating.
It is like watching a Klingon play-by-play announcer on porntube.

I am cool to be around. I don't act any different than if I am watching Ancient Aliens. I see no sense in getting worked up over something I have no control over. They win fine, they lose, no big deal to me as I have watched them since 1968. I'm used to the disappointments.
One sure thing in Cincy... and that is you can count on the Bengals for a depressing fall season.

And to make it worse, Cincinnati only technically has a Fall season, since we tend to go from Summer straight to Winter.

It really depends on how well or terrible they're doing. When doing well I'm happy . When they're terrible I just want to stop being a Bengals fan and become a fan of a team that doesn't exist anywhere. I've decided that if Elgin SC ever gets an NFL franchise I'm switching allegiance and never going back to the Bengals. And since the population of Elgin at most is a little over 5000 I'm sure we're in the running and there IS a large hay field not far away big enough for a stadium and close enough for me to walk to.. I'm not sure Old Two Notch Rd could handle the traffic though, even though it could possibly handle a single person's foot traffic on a quiet day... ..

A hayfield you say?
The team could be the Elgin Balers.

I tend to isolate myself. I do not want to be bothered by anyone as i watch the game.

I’m ok to be around. Don’t throw tantrums nor overly yell at the screen. I basically pour my focus into the game and only talk to others during a commercial.

Unpleasant
This is true even if they are winning

I am okay to be around. I expect them to blow it, so I am not taken by surprise when it happens. I don’t get too pumped when they are playing well because it’s usually against a weak opponent or if it’s not against a weak opponent, I expect them to blow it.
I used to be that guy pumping his fist and blaring “welcome to the jungle” on game day....Now I am as lifeless as this team in a post season game (well maybe not quite that bad).

I'm kind of a realist. Whatever team executes best that day deserves to win. I get psyched up for us though before every game.

The team could be the Elgin Balers.
Or the Elgin Weed Farmers.. The name alone would attract a huge following..
In the same vein the Bengals should be renamed to the Cincinnati Pot Holes..

I am fun to be around, anymore. As little as 3 or 4 years ago I was still getting pissed, yelling, hissy fits. I've become much more mellow of late much more accepting of what's coming.
I used to get so angry when around other people and they made fun of the Bengals. Today I'm able to laugh along with them. I'm so near total apathy with the Bengals it's not even funny.
It's been 40+ years now and I just can't let em go, bad as I want.

I try after 48 years to watch how the O-lines and D-lines are doing as that usually tells me how the game is going to turn out.

My neck hurts from shaking my head so much!!! I usually go to the golf course restaurant for breakfast and watch the game till about 1:15 and then hit golf balls or give a lesson. It takes my mind off the game if we lose.

So I'm at the game Sunday, we're getting destroyed by the Saints. Half the Bengals fans leave. Then there are people yelling 'Who Dey!' then when nobody responds...they got all upset. It was funny.

I still get happy and excited when things are going well, but I don't get nearly as pissed when things are going bad.
I might let an F-bomb fly, but I don't dwell on it, or stay in a bad mood.

My mom has always told me I'm hilarious to watch games around because I'm good at knowing exactly when something terrible is going to happen. But I would agree with the previous post on mellow. I expect so much bad that I don't get mad when something happens, but if something really good happens (GW TD against Falcons) I'm still hype

You and I should watch the games together.....lol. This is me.
I used to be the rip-roaring, cussing, stomping type. My old dog would leave the room on Sundays.
Now, I just kinda laugh at the follies, and shrug. Sometimes I might let an expletive fly, but mostly just chuckle. Now, I DO get excited on a big play still, and let out a "HELL YES!".....but overall, pretty even keeled these days.

I used to get excited for every game and be 100% emotionally invested. I still flip out sometimes because I’m a defensive guy and watching this pathetic defense enrages me. But overall I feel as the years have gone on I’ve gotten less emotionally invested in this team mainly due to Marvin Lewis fatigue. The team just has a staleness to it and you could predict the outcome when we play Pittsburgh or in prime time and so on. That 2015 playoff game really took a lot out of me as a fan. I miss that bad ass Zimmer defense the team had more of an edge and likability to them when he was around. I’ll never forget the game after his wife passed vs. the Ravens where we only gave up 7 points. You could just feel the emotions of the players playing there hearts out for their coach , every player rallying to the football and playing with a controled agression it was a thing of beauty
to witness.
