I will be watching today. While I don't expect an upset or even a close game necessarily, I am hopeful that we see a much better effort than we've witnessed of late. The lack of inspired play and effective game game planning has been very difficult to digest.

What seems to make sense to me (for our last 4 games) is play the less-experienced ones, using plays designed for their abilities, to see where they are in the process of NFL acclimation. And we're almost there anyway, thanks to all of the injuries. I'm also hoping the front office is performing coaching evaluations, and is lining up candidates for interviews asap.
It was a fine dream. A dream of honor and truth. So good in fact that I'm heading to the sofa for a nap ....

Although Jack and Diane had a little ditty, the Bengals do not. I feel the way we are going, we are stuck in NFL purgatory for all eternity. Also, there are two beliefs in the Phoenix mythology. The one which you describe, then theres the one that more resembles this Cincinnati franchise. The Phoenix just simply dies and decomposes before being reborn again. I mean hey, they kinda do look like the zombies on "Dawn of the Dead." Not the remake either where they are fast and vicious, but the old one where they are dumb and slow and just trip over everything.

It does make sense, which is why it probably wont happen. I can tell you how Marvin is looking at this. He see's we are 2 wins and 2 losses from both the Steelers and Ravens away from taking the division in Pittsburgh. Possible? Well, yes, but probable? No! When your starting QB and #1 receiver is done for the year and your defense isn't worth 2 nickels, it makes more sense to start planning for next year. Not to mention the possibility of stacking up more injuries.

At this point do we even want this team to win? It seems like we have more to gain if they lose out, better chance Marvin is gone and a high draft pick.
I don't know why I'm watching this game but I'm going to give it a shot. Though I'll probably quit watching around half time and go back to playing Red Dead Redemption 2.
Ok, so we're not a good team. And, LA is a very good team. And, we're probably gonna lose, and it could get ugly, really ugly. But, dammit, we're Bengals fans, we have each other to commiserate with. And that's not nothin'.
