Andy Dalton meeting Zac Taylor

Anyone else think this meeting had awkward body language all over it?

Most of the awkwardness I thought was coming from Dalton.
Not that it says anything. Andy has always had a nerdy vibe to him (FYI I am Dalton fan).

a little weird to meet your new boss the day after he lost the super bowl in front of a bunch of camera's.

andy's never been one for 'composure' in a tight spot.  surprised he didnt immediately dump one down for a 2 yd reception.  at leas his hair looked good for the camera

Looks like they'll be great business partners. Honestly, I don't think the cameras helped at all. It would be awkward for almost anyone in that position given the circumstances.

Yes it was awkward. Dalton’s Bengal life depends upon whether or not Taylor believes in him and Taylor has to decide whether to hitch his wagon to Dalton for the long term, short term, or not at all.

It's hard to see a circumstance where he isn't hitched to him for at least this year.

Agreed. It gives him a higher floor for the short term, though I do expect that Taylor will want to upgrade from Driskel pretty quickly.

Pretty sure anyone meeting their new boss and unsure if their going to keep you or not is going to have an awkward first meeting. On top of that cameras, and Andy being pretty introverted to begin with, and that's what you get. No big deal, and not an indicator of anything.

I thought that they both handled the moment well. I mean, they're not allowed to talk football, so asking about family and such is safe small talk. However, Andy must be going to that Pavlovian hair institute, because his hair definitely looks well conditioned.

I think you're looking at it wrong.  Dalton is a competitor.  He sees a challenge.  I bet he's excited as hell.  He's not going to be looking at the consequences of failure because that's a loser mentality.  Regardless of what some think, Dalton as always been a winner and has a winners mentality.
